The Dorset 54 In June 2009, road workers in Dorset hit bone. Archaeologists found 54 skeletons. 51 skulls were stacked separately. Every body was young, male, Scandinavian. They had been stripped naked and executed. Radiocarbon dating placed them around 1000 AD. Someone caught a Viking raiding party.
