A man made $12 million sewing goat testicles into humans. π . . . Starting in 1917, John R. Brinkley of Milford, Kansas told impotent men he could restore them by grafting slivers of goat testicle into their scrotum. Dozens died of infection. His Kansas medical license was revoked in 1930, but he relocated to Del Rio, Texas, built one of North America's most powerful radio stations to advertise his practice, earned an estimated $12 million between 1932 and 1937, and nearly won the governorship of Kansas.
