All Saints' Day

All Saints' Day Lisbon's churches were packed with candles. At 9:40 a.m. the ground tore open. A 20-foot tsunami swept the harbor minutes later. Fires from overturned candles burned for five days. Up to 40,000 people died in Lisbon. 85% of the city was gone.
