The Luckiest Unlucky Man Frane Selak was a Croatian music teacher. In 1962 his train derailed into a river. In 1963 a plane door blew off mid-flight. He landed in a haystack. Then a bus crash. Two car fires. A truck hit him off a cliff. In 2003 he won the lottery. About $1 million. None of it independently verified.
