The Yde Girl May 1897. Two peat cutters in Yde, Netherlands. They pulled a body from the bog. They ran. The corpse looked fresh. It was a 16-year-old girl. She died around 54 BCE. Strangled with a woolen band. Half her head was shaved before death. Her red hair survived 2,000 years.
