Between 2008 and 2012, archaeologists digging at Drawsko, Poland uncovered a 17th-century cemetery where six skeletons had been given 'anti-vampire' burials. One woman had an iron sickle placed across her neck β€” so if she sat up, she would decapitate herself. Others were buried with stones wedged under their chins to stop their jaws from opening.
