Owen the hippo chose a 130-year-old tortoise as family. πŸ¦› . . . After the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami separated the 600-pound calf from his herd, rescuers brought him to Kenya's Haller Park. Owen began eating, sleeping and walking beside Mzee every day. A solitary male tortoise became the companion an orphaned herd animal needed.
