The First Text Ever December 3, 1992 changed communication forever. Neil Papworth sent the first SMS message. He typed 'Merry Christmas' on his computer. The message went to Richard Jarvis's phone. Jarvis couldn't reply because phones had no keyboards. Today we send 23 billion texts daily. That Christmas greeting started a global revolution.
