The Man Who Ate a Plane Michel Lotito was a French performer. His stomach lining was twice as thick as normal. He chewed glass, rubber, and metal daily. From 1978 to 1980 he ate a Cessna 150 airplane. He swallowed it piece by piece with mineral oil. Over his life he consumed 9 tons of metal. He died on April 17, 2006.
