Fanta was invented in Nazi Germany. π . . . In 1940, Coca-Cola's German boss Max Keith couldn't get syrup shipments past the WWII embargo. So he mixed apple pulp, whey, and beet sugar into a new drink and called it Fanta. It became the go-to soda across the Third Reich until 1945. Every orange Fanta today traces back to that recipe.
