The Forgotten Sinking

The Forgotten Sinking May 3, 1945. War in Europe nearly over. The Cap Arcona sat in Lübeck Bay. Below decks: thousands of camp prisoners. RAF Typhoons attacked, thinking it held SS troops. Rockets tore the ship apart in minutes. Around 4,000 to 5,000 people died in the water. Few outside Germany have ever heard of it.
