The Park Avenue Hawks

The Park Avenue Hawks In 1993, a red-tailed hawk built a nest on a Fifth Avenue penthouse ledge. His name became Pale Male. He raised dozens of chicks above Central Park. Residents once tore the nest down. New Yorkers protested until the co-op rebuilt it.
