We almost nuked Albuquerque by accident πŸ•³οΈ

We almost nuked Albuquerque by accident πŸ•³οΈ . . . May 27, 1957. A US B-36 dropped a 42,000-pound Mark 17 hydrogen bomb β€” 10 megatons, 700 times Hiroshima β€” over New Mexico. The conventional charges blew a 25-foot crater a mile from Kirtland Air Force Base. Only the unarmed fissile core kept it from vaporizing the city.
