On April 8, 1994, electrician Gary Smith arrived at Kurt Cobain's Seattle home to install a system Courtney Love had ordered β designed to alert her if Kurt left. Cobain had shot himself three days earlier in the greenhouse above the garage. Smith saw him through the window and thought he was a mannequin.
