A QR code can recover after 30% of it vanishes. 📱 . . . DENSO WAVE introduced the QR Code in 1994 with built-in Reed–Solomon error correction. Its 4 selectable levels can restore roughly 7%, 15%, 25%, or 30% of unreadable codewords. That is why a scratched code—or one partly covered by a logo—may still scan perfectly.
