One man built a cathedral alone for 60 years. ⛪ . . . In 1961, Justo Gallego Martínez, a farmer from Mejorada del Campo, Spain, began laying bricks on his family's land. He used no blueprints, no permits, no engineering training — just salvaged bricks, bike wheels for window frames, and old oil drums as columns. By his death in 2021 at age 96, the 40-meter dome was standing.
