The Flying Tailor

The Flying Tailor Franz Reichelt made coats in Paris. He also invented a parachute suit. On February 4, 1912, he climbed the Eiffel Tower. Reporters and cameras waited below. He had told officials he would use a dummy. Instead he jumped himself. The footage still exists. He did not fly.
