Survived the Falls, Killed by the Astrodome In 1984, Karel Soucek went over Niagara Falls in a barrel. He walked away with only a bruised face. A year later, he tried it indoors. A crane dropped his barrel inside the Houston Astrodome. It clipped the tank rim. He died the next day.
