The Last Embrace at Lajia

The Last Embrace at Lajia Qinghai, China. Archaeologists dug into a 4,000-year-old village. An earthquake had buried it instantly. They found a mother kneeling. Her arms wrapped around her small child. Elsewhere at the site, in 2002, they uncovered an upturned clay bowl. Inside: the world's oldest noodles, still intact.
