The Child and the Wolf France, December 1994. Three cavers squeezed through a Chauvet cave passage. Inside were hundreds of paintings up to 32,000 years old. Lions, rhinos, and bears drawn in charcoal. Later, they found a child's footprints in the floor, dating to about 25,000-27,000 years ago. Beside them ran the prints of a wolf or hyena. Nobody knows if the animal was hunting, following, or walking with the child.
