The Lost Bomb Under Greenland January 21, 1968. A US B-52 caught fire over the Arctic. Four hydrogen bombs went down with it onto sea ice near Thule. The conventional charges blew. Plutonium spread for miles. Project Crested Ice scrubbed the ice for months. They recovered three bombs. The fourth's secondary stage is still missing.
