The Lifeguard Party Drowning New Orleans, summer 1985. Lifeguards threw an end-of-season party put on by the New Orleans Recreation Department. They were celebrating a summer with zero pool drownings. Over 100 certified lifeguards attended. Jerome Moody, 31, was found dead at the bottom of the pool. Four lifeguards were on duty.
