The Toxic Lady

The Toxic Lady On February 19, 1994, Gloria Ramirez arrived at a California ER. She was dying of cancer. Then three workers fainted. Her blood smelled of ammonia and looked oily. Investigators blamed a home pain remedy that converted via ambulance oxygen into a toxic compound. Staff were hospitalized before she was pronounced dead.
