The Sideshow Corpse

The Sideshow Corpse Elmer McCurdy was shot dead robbing a train in 1911. The undertaker embalmed him with arsenic. Nobody claimed the body. So he sold it to a traveling carnival. For 65 years Elmer toured America as a 'dummy'. In 1976 a TV crew bumped his arm. It snapped off. He was real.
