The Locked Doors of Triangle New York, March 25, 1911. A fire broke out on the 8th floor. Workers ran for the exits. The doors were locked. Managers feared theft and unauthorized breaks. 146 people died. Most were immigrant girls. Many jumped from the windows. Bodies hit the sidewalk on Greene Street.
