The $15 Million Encore Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico in 2017. Lin-Manuel Miranda's family is from the island. He brought Hamilton to San Juan in January 2019. He played the lead role himself. Then he gave $15 million from the run to rebuild local arts.
