A bog head made a murderer confess to the wrong body. πͺ¦ . . . In May 1983, peat cutters at Lindow Moss in Cheshire pulled up a woman's skull. Police showed it to Peter Reyn-Bardt, who cracked and confessed to killing his wife Malika in 1961. Then the lab dated the skull: 1,700 years old. He was convicted on the confession anyway.
