Kent cigarette filters once contained asbestos. 🚬 . . . From 1952 to 1956, Lorillard advertised its Micronite filter as advanced protection. The filter actually contained crocidolite, one of the most hazardous forms of asbestos, and laboratory tests later found fibers entering the smoke. The supposed safety feature added another danger to every breath.
