She was killed by an animal that rarely kills adults 🐺 . . . On October 22, 2009, 19-year-old Canadian folk singer Taylor Mitchell hiked the Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park alone. Two eastern coyotes attacked. She died the next day. She had just been nominated for Young Performer of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. She remains one of the only adults ever killed by coyotes in recorded history.
