The Men With Stones in Their Mouths Kilteasheen, Ireland. A lakeside cemetery. Archaeologists excavated 137 skeletons there. Two adult men stood out from the rest. Each had a fist-sized stone wedged in his mouth. The burials date to between 600 and 800 CE. Locals feared they would rise again. The stones were meant to keep them down.
