The Gimli Glider

The Gimli Glider July 23, 1983. A brand-new Boeing 767 climbs over Red Lake, Ontario. Then both engines die. Ground crews had loaded fuel in pounds, not kilograms. Captain Pearson glides 65 miles with no power. He lands on an abandoned airstrip being used for a drag race. Everyone walks away.
