The Premature Hippo

The Premature Hippo Fiona was born January 24, 2017. Six weeks early. She weighed just 29 pounds. Normal hippo newborns weigh 55 to 120. Cincinnati Zoo staff used human NICU methods. They fed her by tube around the clock. She became the smallest hippo to ever survive.
