The Fix That Saved Three Lives April 13, 1970. Apollo 13's oxygen tank exploded 200,000 miles from Earth. CO2 was building up. The lunar module's filters didn't fit the command module. Engineers in Houston had hours. The fix: plastic bags, cue cards, suit hoses, and duct tape. It worked.
