The Woman Who Outlived Her Records Elizabeth Israel was born in 1875 in Dominica. Locals called her Ma Pampo. She worked sugar plantations until age 105. She drank bush tea and smoked a pipe. Her baptismal certificate said 128 when she died on October 14, 2003. Guinness refused to certify her. The original birth records had simply burned.
