Grape-Nuts was sold as a malaria cure πŸ₯£

Grape-Nuts was sold as a malaria cure πŸ₯£ . . . In 1897, C.W. Post launched Grape-Nuts in Battle Creek, Michigan and advertised it as a treatment for malaria, appendicitis, consumption, and loose teeth. His companion drink Postum was marketed as a cure for 'coffee heart' β€” with ads promising it could 'make red blood redder.' The FTC forced Post to stop the medical claims in 1919.
