Garry Hoy, a 39-year-old senior partner at a Toronto law firm, was showing law students how strong the 24th-floor glass was at the Toronto-Dominion Centre. He'd done the demo before. This time the pane didn't break β€” it popped clean out of the frame. Hoy fell 24 stories. The glass survived intact.
