Quaker Oats fed radioactive breakfast to disabled boys. ☢️

Quaker Oats fed radioactive breakfast to disabled boys. ☢️ . . . From 1946 to 1956, MIT and Quaker Oats fed 74 boys at the Fernald State School in Massachusetts oatmeal laced with radioactive iron and calcium isotopes. The boys, many labeled 'feeble-minded,' were told they had joined a 'Science Club' and got extra milk. The Atomic Energy Commission paid for it — to prove where the minerals went.
