A rat named Magawa saved thousands of lives. πŸ€ . . . Born in Tanzania in 2013, Magawa was trained by APOPO to sniff TNT. Deployed to Cambodia in 2016, he cleared 141,000 square meters of land and found 71 live landmines plus 38 unexploded shells β€” work that would take a human with a metal detector four days per acre. He did it in 30 minutes. He died peacefully at 8.
